our local wildlife

We treasure the wildlife that visit our pond and forest, and feel we must share their homeland in the most responsible way we can.  It is important that we not interfere as they come and go to their drinking water supply, our pond.  Some have babies and are extremely protective of them.  We give them privacy as much as possible, have never had a negative conflict, and want to keep it that way!

Children must be supervised at all times to avoid conflict with wildlife.

Service dogs are always welcomed.  Non-service dogs must be on leash at all times in order to keep all creatures safe.

a note for parents

Just like the animals, your kids will be drawn to our pond.

We welcome their curiosity.

Children are not safe alone at the pond.  Not only is it too steep & slippery for a child to self rescue, there is a pump and wiring in the pond.
We have staff at events with first aid skills, however they cannot watch children and attend to their duties too.
Please have a child minder stay at the pond with the kids.  Everyone will thank you!
